In just a few months, Australians have paid about $24 more each time they fill up. The federal government had to spend $2.55 billion of taxpayers' money halving the fuel tax, just to take the edge off for everyone.
Woodside? Revenue up 30% in the same three months, to $6 billion. And gas exporters still pay just 6% in combined taxes and royalties. A tradie pays 24%. A nurse pays 22%. It's time Woodside picked up the tab
